Disclaimers

We have opinions about many issues, and this blog provides a satisfying means of sharing our views with people like you, gentle reader. However, we want you to know that the views expressed here are not necessarily those of Jim’s employer, Geneva College, nor Amy’s employer, Hillsdale College, nor our similarly opinionated kids, nor our beloved but far less opinionated dogs, Austen and Charlie. We also want you to know that we personally find disclaimers such as this to be irritating and, usually, superfluous. But, as they say, discretion is the better part of valor. And both discretion and valor are, after all, pretty good things. Well, that’s our opinion anyway.

  1. Well I rediscovered you. I thought the disclaimer would be a place to judge, and it’s clear to anyone that your disclaimer, from a CPAs point of view, leaves a lot on the table to get to you, but I did enjoy some of the humor in it.

Seriously, it seems you and Amy are still going strong, and that is a blessing to me, in my old age. I wanted to look you up to see how this supremely gifted educator was handling the chaos rampaging DC with the residence of the MAGA / DOGE alignment on that hallowed ground, errr… swamp. Looks like you’re doing just fine looking through your multi-faceted, kaliedoscopic, variably lighted apurture.

I’m still super busy, but not at a hectic, outlandish pace. Lori and I plan to head to Indy on Thursday for Jamie and Dave’s birthday celebration, which, unfortunately, Dave will likely miss, if he even finds out about it.

    1. Hello Dan! Great to hear from you. Yes, we are well. I’m directing the Kalos Center for Christian Education and Spiritual Formation in Columbus, and Amy is working in advancement at Hillsdale College. The kids are doing well. We should catch up with a phone convo!
